About This Tour

Cradled in the embrace of the Himalayas, Pelling is a picturesque town in North Sikkim, India, known for its stunning landscapes, cultural heritage, and spiritual sanctuaries. This serene hill station is a paradise for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, and adventure seekers alike.

The town is home to mesmerizing waterfalls such as Changey, Rimbi, and Khangchendzonga, where the sound of cascading water harmonizes with the tranquil surroundings. The mystical Khecheopalri Lake, revered as a sacred site by both Buddhists and Hindus, is believed to grant wishes, making it a must-visit for travelers seeking spiritual solace.

Pelling’s rich history is reflected in its ancient monasteries and ruins. The 17th-century Pemayangtse Monastery, adorned with intricate murals and sculptures, serves as a hub for Buddhist teachings and meditation. Nearby, the Rabdantse Ruins whisper tales of a bygone era, once the capital of Sikkim before being reduced to remnants by invading forces. Another significant monastery, Sangachoeling, built in 1697, is a peaceful retreat accessible via a scenic uphill trek.

For leisure and relaxation, the Sewaro Rock Garden offers a lush green space ideal for picnics, while Rimbi Falls allows visitors to indulge in fishing. Those eager to experience the simplicity of rural life can engage in activities like milking cows or interacting with local communities. The Yuma Meditation Centre provides an enriching experience for those interested in mindfulness and exploring Hindu mythology.

Pelling is more than just a destination—it’s an experience that blends nature, history, and culture seamlessly. Whether you seek adventure, spiritual rejuvenation, or a peaceful retreat, this Himalayan wonderland promises memories that last a lifetime.
